This is Lincoln and I. My trusted and loyal side-kick. This is him on one of his sweet days. On his not-so-sweet days, he’s usually distorying my room, crying for food and biting his younger brother. The list actually goes on. Oh yes, he also like to chase and scratch Alpha, a hyperactive husky.
I know, I live with too many animals. Growing up I had much more, but that’s another story for another day. I just wanted to welcome you, and myself to my first ever blog.
Here’s a quote from Brené Brown’s book, “Daring Greatly:”
“Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.”
And that is, kind of, the purpose of this blog, to show up and “let (my) true self be seen.” I’ve been wanting to be a writer ever since I first started writing (Age 9) but my real passion came in my teens and now that same passion burns in my early twenties. I’ve been too afraid to put my stories out there, too afraid of people seeing my work. So, now I will start small and work my way to gaining more courage and confidence in putting myself and my stories out there.
I hope you will enjoy encountering this journey with me as much as I will!
